All valves use Chevron packings (sintered packings) and are subjected to factory Helium Leak tests. The UNP lining is anchored with dove tail grooves which make the valves suitable for both pressure and vacuum applications.The standard PFA lined ball valve that we offer is full port, however reduced port can be offered by special order.Any lined valve is an investment as they are typically used in critical applications. Quality valves will help reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency. With that understanding, UNP has made the standard body casting material ASTM A 216 Grade WCB carbon steel. UNP offers all metal components in investment castings, ensuring intact and homogeneous lining and having an overall even thickness of lining at intricate contours. Stainless steel CF8M bodies are available for special order as well. Unlike the UNP investment casting, many competing valve manufacturers use ductile iron valve bodies.UNP uses top of the line, virgin raw materials such as PFA linings exclusively made from Dyneon PFA from 3M. The careful selection of materials and specified high purity grades, enables end product use in a wide range of applications from critical industrial systems to the pharmaceutical and food industries.The lining for all UNP valves uses the latest injection molding process and not by transfer molding process makes its lining more compact and reliable.Our standard UNP ball valve uses 3M Dyneon PFA lining, however special orders are available with Conductive PFA, PTFE, FEP, PVDF, ETFE, ECTFE and PPH.In line with today&rsquos automation standards, our UNP Valves are all designed with an ISO mounting pad to enable easy actuator mounting. Actuators, limit switches, solenoids, valves positioners and other automation components are all available to be added to your lined valve order.UNP subjects all of its valves to both Hydro and Pneumatic Test ensuring 100% reliability for performance of valves under pressure. UNP valves are SIL3 certified as well.
